DayCareScout ("we," "us," or "our") runs daycarescout.com (the "Site"), a directory of licensed child care providers in Florida. Our provider listings are based on public licensing information published by the Florida Department of Children and Families. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect from visitors, parents, and daycare owners, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described below.
Information you give us directly. Depending on how you use the Site, this may include:
Information collected automatically. When you browse the Site, our analytics and advertising tools collect certain data, including your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and the date and time of your visit. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies described in Section 6.
We do not ask for or collect information about your children. Please do not include your child's name or other personal details in reviews or messages.
We use the information we collect to:
Reviews you post are public and may be seen by anyone who visits the Site. Your saved favorites are private to your account. Please share only what you are comfortable making public, and do not include personal details about your child. If you want a review you wrote to be removed, contact us using the details in Section 14.
When you request a tour, we send your name, contact details, and message to the provider you chose so they can respond to you. The provider's handling of that information is governed by their own practices, not ours.
Daycare owners who use paid listing upgrades can receive text message alerts about new tour requests at the phone number they provide. We use that number only to send these alerts and for account verification. You can stop text alerts at any time by contacting us at [email protected].
